hexdragon Posted April 11, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2011 Does Liarsville need to be booked via a tour? Part of our group wants to do the whole shooting match (panning for gold, the show, salmon bake). We also wanted to do the Klondike Highway... Can we do both? We have about 12 hours in Skagway... 5waldos Posted April 11, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2011 You just gave me a great idea so I called and asked and the answer is no- it must be done with a tour because of parking issues. Really too bad because it sounded like just what I needed! :(
STEVE-O Posted April 12, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2011 Liarsville is ok.....just ok. Cute little song & dance...."gold panning" in a row of wooden sloughs....(didn't have the salmon) Knowing what I do now...I'd skip it and spend more time on the Highway....Much better use of your time...IMHO

The one cool thing was that DD was six years old at the time, and I noticed that when they were handing out the gold pans to adults, they took them off the top of the stack but when it was a child, they took it from the bottom of the stack. Sure enough, DD had more than twice as much gold in her pan as we had in ours. She was thrilled. :D
