jeffmi Posted April 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2011 Hi, We will be in Belize in June with our 7 and 9 year old, and trying to figure out what to do for the day. The kids do not want to go cave tubing, so are the ruins "boring" in the kids eye's? Is there any beaches that we could take them too and have them feel safe? Anyone's advice would be greatly appreciated.
MOJO_ERASER Posted April 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2011 I am in same boat except my youngest is 3. I think the only options for us is. Goffs Caye , Caye Cauker, or bannister island. All 3 let you swim.I think Bannister would have the best beach but I am not for sure.
taymiss2 Posted April 12, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2011 We did the Altun Ha/river cruise with two six year olds and two nine year olds. It was the only thing we could come up with in Belize that kids to Grandparents could all do. (except DH) he went cave tubing on his own. It was a fun day. They liked climbing the ruins, local kids went into the jungle and brought out a Boa Constrictor for them to see, they had a ball taking pictures of all the different animals they saw as we went down the river. We were all together so probably woudl have had fun no matter what we did. Next time in Belize I am going to a beach though, lol.
caribsun Posted April 12, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2011 With 2 kids I would book a beach break with your cruise line.
