Drink Coupons--in cabin on embark or ????

I purchased a few drink coupons for myself and I thought that they delivered them to the cabin. I think I read somewhere that you have to go pick them up somewhere. Is this the case? Cruising out of Miami.....

Thanks in advance!

Ok, dinner....so if I want my 1st DOD I've got to use cash....:( Thanks for the heads up on anytime as this is what we are doing.

Purchases on board are not done with cash. All purchases will go on your account.

I didn't want to wait until dinner the 1st night either so I asked Guest Services as soon as I boarded the Paradise this weekend & they were delivered to my room approx 2 hrs later. Still had to use my S&S card for my 1st DOD...didn't want to wait!

What is the procedure if you are eating in the Steakhouse the first night??

When you check your reservation-let the hostess know about your drink coupons and they should have them waiting for you.

Soda coupons will be in the cabin- same as Photo coupons

You can also just go ask the hostess at the dining room you are assigned to during hours it is open, and you should be able to sign for them there. I've found that to be the easiest solution if I am not eating in the MDR on the first night - or even if I am & want to pick them up a few hours early! :)

We've always received our photo coupons in the MDR.

My sister and her family just booked the Legend for next January. Can I order drink coupons as a gift for them?

Peg

Yes you can- but they will not get them until onboard. or you can buy them a funship certificate in the amount of $25.00 which they will mail to you and you can give it to them wrapped as a present. (makes a good christmas gift too since you will have those holidays too before they sail)

interesting= we had them in the cabin in February. only the photo and soda coupons.

A couple of weeks ago when we arrived in our cabin there was one note for each of the coupon purchases that would be delivered to us in the MDR that night. We now save a couple of drink and soda coupons at the end of the cruise to use when we board our next one so we hit the deck drinking.

In the past if we had coupons delivered to our cabin they would not arrive until after dinner.

I didn't realize this. I'll have to try this in October when I sail on the Imagination. I'm sure I can get a few drinks in before dinner. Thanks for the info

Hi! Have been reading about drink & soda coupons and then went to Carnival to check them out. They seem to have a # of coupons for a set price, but ....

Drink coupons are $XXX -- what do you get with them

1. Soda -- does that mean cans of soda? how many drinks?

2. Alcohol -- mentioned in posts here are the DOD's - will 1 coupon cover 1 DOD?? Beer or mixed drinks & top shelf or ship brand? I like margarita's and travel mate like Dos Equis. Or I might drink a Heiniken(sic)--I just drink the thing.

Please advise as I am interested in pre-purchasing for our trip to Alaska if you can save money by doing it this way.

I take it they do not have an expiration date? Sure miss the DOD card & just had it once.:D

Many thanks in advance.

Colleen

Maybe because our photo coupons came through the casino? Kindof weird because the coupons don't say from the Casino. We do get a letter in the cabin informing us of them. We have to sign for them.

I order alcohol and soda coupons for every cruise and they both are given to me in the main dining room on night one. The last few cruises, I've also gotten the photo coupon from the Ocean Players Club and that too, was given to me in the main dining room on night one.
