Truly sad. My heart goes out to the family! They were on vacation to have a good time and unfortunately this tragedy happens. I would be EXTREMELY devastated. I truly hope that monster gets what he deserves.

I lived in the USVI for 6 yrs. As many here know how beautiful it is there, however there is no justice and forget help from police. It is like I imagine the wild wild west was like back in history. Lawless. Very frustrating for sure but it's the way it is and it will never change there, sad but true.

Agree with above poster. Also lived there for 15 years. One third of all residents of sthe VI work for the Government of the VI, t the criminals are related to the police and the lawyers. Very hard to get justice on the Island. Friend had her car stolen, reported it to police. nothing happened until she saw it parked in front of the police station-she got in and drove it away! :)

Just read in the news that the Jury found him guilty and he is sentanced to life in prison with no parole. Although this is great news, I wonder what type of gang retalliation will ensue because of this finding.
