Pregnant and the BOB Underwater Adventure

Can I get some opinions please? I will be 14-15 weeks pregnant and am planning on doing this excursion. In the description it only mentions a weight restriction. Do you think I will be ok?

I hate to be a downer here, but I would not participate in that type of excursion without describing it to your doctor first. Snorkeling above water should be perfectly safe for you. I would encourage you to ask your doctor's advice. Also, I would not be surprised if the excursion has restrictions for pregnancy. No matter what you do you'll have fun!

We had some folks with Diabetes with us and they would not let them ride the scooters. They had the option of going and just snorkeling or going back to the port. Myself, I would probably not do it!!! Just my opinion!!!

I am not sure that scientists/doctors have established exactly what effects diving has on the baby so its usually not recommended. The depth you are going would be the main concern as the pressure increases the deeper you go. BOB only goes to around 8 feet... I would suggest contacting BOB and asking them what their policies/recommendations are. Their web site is http://www.bovusvi.com

I just read the last 2 messages and am bummed! DH is diabetic so I think we better be safe and not sorry and cancel this excursion. Oh well - I am sure there are a ton of other fun things we can find. Whatever we do will sure beat being at work!! Thanks for your opinions!!
