CRZCRAZY Posted April 17, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2011 I'm watching the race in Long Beach and they had an aerial shot of the cars on the course with the Queen Mary in the background. The Splendor wasn't there! It was 3:30, so I figured they might have moved to San Pedro, I checked the AIS ship's data and it shows Splendor at Long Beach. I think ESPN might have pulled a fast one and used footage of practice from Saturday when there wasn't a ship there. Don't know how else they could have done it. PaulieG13 Posted April 19, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2011 Definitely footage from another day! We got off the Splendor Sunday morning and she was not scheduled to leave long Beach until after 4:00PM. i would venture to say that maybe a fraction of 1% of the people watching the race would catch that little nugget! MikeM Posted April 19, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2011 The first race on Sunday was on tape and the second (Honda) was live. I believe they have 3 on the week end at various levels. We went to the race last year on Sunday before be boarded the Splendor.
