Rare 4cats4me Posted April 18, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2011 I have a card with a $19 annual fee but have reaped the benefit several times over -- no blackout periods, easy to redeem, I can purchase my own travel and go through the credit card company later to credit my account. I have up to 90 days to credit points to my account after any kind of travel purchase. The problem is, now I have to redeem nearly twice as many points as a few years ago thanks to those who defaulted on their credit cards. They're punishing those of us who pay off our credit cards in full each month.
