Info on Westin FLL North?

We just booked the Westin in Fort Lauderdale North through Hotwire and have a few questions. We're traveling at the end of next week and just had Hotwire cancel our reservation at Crowne Plaza so we were scrambling a bit to get something booked. Price seems reasonable but...

 

What's the best choice for transportation to the hotel from the airport? And then to the cruise port? Any good restaurants in the area? Other comments or suggestions?
