Cruizer Bill Posted April 23, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 23, 2011 I see the Noordam is visiting Grand Turk tomorrow. When we were on Noordam last month, we could not dock at Grand Turk because the winds and waves were too high. The Captain said it was not safe to try to sail through the narrow channel to Grand Turk. So, they threw us a party with free drinks that afternoon. We still had a pretty good time but I was disappointed because we had never been to Grand Turk. Has this happened to others? Thank you David for posting the ship locations! Himself Posted April 23, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 23, 2011 David: Thank you for another fine report. It seems we are in a mode for relocation of home ports for the summer. Two of the Vista ships are now heading to Alaska and will be relocated to Seattle and Vancouver for their summer schedules and it looks as though the Volendam is starting her long treck from Austrailia and the Far East to Vancouver B.C. Oh, if it would only warm up in Northern Illinois.
Himself Posted April 23, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 23, 2011 It looks like a nice day in San Diego. Thank you for posting the link so we can see the Oosterdam in all her glory.
Rare kazu Posted April 23, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 23, 2011 Thank you David for sharing one more time. Really enjoy seeing the ports and where the 'dam' ships are. So many intriguing ports, so many great ships. One can only say "ahhhhhhhh":):)
Rare Copper10-8 Posted April 24, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 24, 2011 Rotterdam (northbound) and Statendam (southbound) just passed each other (about 45 min ago) off the coast of Costa Rica! Pretty cool sight! They flashed their lights at each other in greeting:)
