Fuerte Amador and Princess Excursions

BEWARE! Just wanted to warn you good people about tender locations and taking more than one excursion. Our experience was on Princess.

 

1) Fuerta Amador is a tender...Princess was half hour after report time for the excursion meet to get us tendered to shore.

 

2) Therefore tour started half hour late.

 

3) Towards the end of the tour the guide was gently moving along, he was notified that there were 6 people on his tour that had an afternoon tour into Panama City (we did the Miraflores locks in the AM)...he didn't seem to care, didn't notify the tour company or princess....later saw him laughing with the driver.

 

4) Therefore we missed our tour...where was the Princess excursion person? NOwhere to be found for 15-20 minutes! And when we asked nobody knew where they went (you would think this would be one reason why they carry radios?)

 

5) Finally, Princess excursion person found and he says he can't help us, the fine print says we should give 1/2 hr to 45 minutes between excursions. We tell him we had the 1/2hr but that princess was late with tender. He apologizes but will give us refund....takes our tickets.

 

I feel Princess should have known better since they new in the morning they were running late and made the arrangements with the tour companies accordingly.

 

While they did provide a refund it was not as easy as posted (that's another story). I just want you good people to BE AWARE! and plan accordingly so that the excursion you really want to take won't be missed.

 

 

BEWARE if you have 2 excursions on a tender day!!!
