jcanino Posted March 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2005 Does it apply to group bookings? Thank you for any information. Groups are a different story. Normally, when a group is priced with Carnival, the cruise rate is $50 to $100 lower that the individual rate. Group bookings come with other amenities. With any group booking, booking 8 cabins will get you 1 free berth (cruise rate). You also may be eligible for upgrades, champagne, group pictures, etc. If your price drops below what the group price is, Carnival will adjust the price BUT you will then lose your group status and every cabin is turned over to individual reservations and that means no 1 free berth for 8 cabins or any other amenities that you had earned. lappy22 Posted March 14, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2005 I'm not too sure about Carnival, but on our wedding cruise last May on Royal Carribean the price was adjusted. We had 14 cabins total, with one of them being free. About a month and a half before the cruise, the rate dropped $115. Each passenger received $115 in shipboard credit(except the two free of course) and our free room was not affected by the credit. This saved everybody a combined total of almost $3000. I would really look into it!
