booked on the august 8th sailing out of charleston. this will be my 3rd cruise (2nd with carnival/other one was with RC) and my DH's first. we will be celebrating our 10th anniv. :) looking for any and all feedback re: this ship. my 1st cruise with carnival was on the celebration; same agenda though. so i kinda know what to expect in freeport and nassau. we're gonna book the jeep adventure in freeport and do our own thing in nassau (i.e. sightsee, jet ski, relax). we went in april of 2005 and it was very ROCKY! people were literally walking side to side, bumping into walls. i believe someone said it was due to rough waters. they even cancelled all shows due to safety concerns for the dancers. i still had a fabulous time and became addicted to cruising. and i never got sick, thank goodness. but i'm worried about DH. like i stated earlier, this will be his 1st time and i want him to love it just as much as i do. so any info you could provide would be awesome. thanks so much!!

While I have not been on Fantasy herself, I have been on several of her sister ships. They are all nearly identical, so I will provide as much generic info as I can. The Fantasy Class was an evolution of the Holiday Class (which the Celebration belonged to) so much will seem familiar from your previous cruise.

1: The Serenity area is for adults only and has plush loungers and two hot tubs. It is located on Promenade Deck aft. You can access it by walking down from the back patio of the Lido Buffet or simply walk through the lounge at the very back of the Promenade.

2: There are two clubs on the Promenade, one usually plays modern music and hip hop. The other usually has a live band and caters more to the mature crowd. The piano bar is located in the atrium on Atlantic Deck.

3: There is a complimentary sushi bar set up on the Promenade each night, usually around 5 PM.

4: The mini golf course is at the very top of the ship forward.

5: There is a very nice observation deck above the Bridge. It is accessible through a door on Veranda Deck (port side forward) or via stairs that lead up to it (from Lido Deck below) on either side.
