Cruise Traveler Susan Posted April 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2011 If we bring wine with us as it states we can do we need to also bring a corkscrew if we want to drink it in our room or is one provided?
kammerer3209 Posted April 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2011 It took our steward a couple days, but he was able to sneak us one. They are a rare item =) I think I will just pack mine on our next cruise since it won't take up much space.
PlanoTim Posted April 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2011 If we bring wine with us as it states we can do we need to also bring a corkscrew if we want to drink it in our room or is one provided? I've never seen a corkscrew provided in the cabin. Tim
michelle1836 Posted April 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2011 you can just pack one. easier than waiting for your cabin steward to get you one
bobnfl Posted April 26, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 26, 2011 No corkscrew is provided, you must bring your own. You can get wine glasses from your room stewart or from any bar on board. we always carry one in our suitcase, in fact it stays in there just in case we forget to pack one. Have fun and happpy cruiseing. Bob & Raquel

CRZCRAZY Posted April 26, 2011 #7 Share Posted April 26, 2011 We have a small one that the handle removes and stores over the screw part, and have had it go through security as a carry on many times at the airport. We got a couple at about a buck apiece so if they do want to take it away we haven't lost much, but so far it hasn't been a problem.
kris12 Posted April 26, 2011 #8 Share Posted April 26, 2011 I've just asked my room steward (several times on different cruises) and they have always brought me one very quickly. Made a nice little souvenier for my "cruise virgin" friend on one cruise.
Georgiagolfer Posted April 27, 2011 #9 Share Posted April 27, 2011 If we bring wine with us as it states we can do we need to also bring a corkscrew if we want to drink it in our room or is one provided? Just pack 1 is the easiest way. DW and I always keep 1 in our luggage for just this reason.
crusinpsychRN Posted April 27, 2011 #10 Share Posted April 27, 2011 I pack one. When I didn't I was told to call room service.
flounder315 Posted April 27, 2011 #11 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Room stewart gave me 1 as soon as I ask. It is really neat, the part that covers the screw part comes off and you insert it into the top and it becomes the handle. It has Carnival on the cover part. Really cool. But forgot that it was in my purse when I went for jury duty and had to take it back out to the car. You should have seen the way the officers were looking at the xray machine. It took me a second to realise what it was...:p
