Hey Y'all,

Have a question...

I booked a cruise on the Mariner (June 27) back in Novemeber with an online agency. Made the final payment in April. We have 2 cabins booked, 4 in one cabin & 2 in the other; the one with 2 is a handicap cabin. When I booked the cruise my son who is graduating from high school this year said that he was not going to be able to go because he was planning on joining the Air Force & wasn't sure when boot camp started.

Well in March we found out that he will not be going to BC until September so he now wants to go on the cruise with us, which is great!

I told the travel agent about it & she said she would get back to me, this was around April 3. She has yet to get back to me even after repeated emails to her. Soooo, not happy w/ this online company & will never use again.

So my question is, has anyone ever added a person to a cabin after the fact? He would stay in the handicap room w/ my mom & sister & from what I understand there is enough room.

I don't know what to do now, I would hate it if my son were not able to go especially since he'll be going away. (I've selfishly been trying to talk him into waiting a until things settled down in Iraq to no avail. )

Thanks for your help.

Adding a person should be easy if the ship is not full. In your case, you might consider adding a third cabin. If you select to add a cabin, you might want to move one person from the 4-person cabin to the new cabin to avoid the single-rate charge. It might need a little work, that's why your TA has been avoiding you.

Good luck.

I had a really bad TA once and had to remove them from the booking by sending a fax to RCI informing them that I wanted to remove the TA on record and put myself as my own TA. I was then able to fix everything the way I wanted. If you let RCI know the problem they should be able to let you know. If the handicapped accessible cabin can hold more than two I don't see what the problem is since you still have plenty of time for adjustments before the manifest is complete.

Thanks for the help y'all. The TA finally called, maybe she saw the hotly worded email I sent to CS of the site.

Anyway, we ended up getting another cabin. So for 3 oceanview rooms (7 people) we are paying $7556. Yikes! When I think of all the bills I could pay off with that. LOL

We're looking very forward to it though, should be loads of fun!

Again, thanks for the help.

Stacy
