Addictedtocruising Posted April 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Hi, I've read that calling from ST Thomas is included in my AT&T plan and I'm assuming I can also tether my laptop with my phone since I do pay for that extra service here at home. Has anyone done this? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks Donna
jewopaho Posted April 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 28, 2011 Of course, I'd check with AT&T ... but you should be OK. St. Thomas is a US territory. A word of caution: you must be off the ship to call or use your computer. Otherwise, you'll be charged the Cellular at Sea rates. I don't want to come out and say that they're expensive ... but all their employees have ski masks and guns! Have a great cruise!
Ms411 Posted May 1, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2011 Yes, many people who live on STT use their AT&T iphone to tether to their laptop. Supposedly it's one of the faster and reliable internet connections available. But, WI-FI is available in many places as another option.
sail7seas Posted May 2, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 2, 2011 We've used our AT &T from St. Thomas many times with no charges. It is included in our regular calling plan. Same for San Juan.
