akscubainst Posted March 15, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2005 They're basically open air buses. On nice days they open the canvas an you can ride around in the open air. On rainy days, they put the canvas down so you can stay dry but still see. They are more of a point A to B thing than a tour as far as I know. Probably pretty convient if you wan't to be able to hop on and off all cause DT Juneau is a little spread out. Dave - in Juneau.
englander Posted March 17, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted March 17, 2005 Thanks, Dave. Am also curious about info I read of a 'shuttle bus' one can catch near the tram that goes to Mendenhall Glacier for $5 each way. What do you know about this? Cruizer_J Posted March 17, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2005 The shuttle bus companies have booths right at the dock -- you can't miss them. Very easy to just walk up and buy your tickets. Buses run every 30 minutes or so. We used MGT's "blue bus" and there was at least one other company.
