jelbnl Posted March 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2005 I was wondering what the feelings on RCCL releasing the rest of 2006 tomorrow with Freedom of the Seas?
Ella2 Posted March 14, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2005 From what I've been told by RCCL, it's not likely...more likely the rest of 2006 will be released in the next couple of months.I hope what I was told is wrong, though. ;)
elleluv Posted March 14, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2005 It sure would seem to make the most sense though, wouldn't it.
sally r Posted March 14, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2005 I am getting so anxious to book a Hawaii cruise for 2006 that I was even looking at Carnival itineraries today! Hurry up, Royal Caribbean, I want to get my planning started!
Penguin69 Posted March 14, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2005 When I booked our Dec 2006 Freedom of the Seas cruise, the gentleman at RCCL indicated that once they closed the reservation for FOS (for the 2 weeks that Crown and Anchor members only could reserve their cabins), that they would not open the reservations back up until June 2005. I don't know if that's really true or not and why they feel they have to wait until June.... Maybe they are planning on doing something with the price structure or.... . Sail With Me Posted March 14, 2005 #8 Share Posted March 14, 2005 Sorry, but bookings opened this morning for non C & A members. Have been booking my clients since 5 am. If you want a cabin call soon as they are going fast for June 06.

maggieworkman Posted March 14, 2005 #10 Share Posted March 14, 2005 If bookings for 2006 don't open tomorrow, I am going to apply the $1000 I have saved in my savings account to my 2005 cruise balance instead of using it as a deposit for 2006. I guess I will wait until June and book my 2006 cruise while I am onboard the Sovereign. Maggie
rivercityal Posted March 15, 2005 #11 Share Posted March 15, 2005 I called RCCL last night about 2006 sailing to Europe and Hawaii and was told the 2006 for Hawaii was out and I would receive my booklet in 7 to 10 days but the Europe won't be out until Aug or Sept, maybe not till Oct. Penguin69 Posted March 15, 2005 #12 Share Posted March 15, 2005 Just spoke to RCCL. They advised that booking for FOS does not open until tomorrow Wednesday 3-16-05. So if you have a TA maybe they are allowed to book early, I don't know. Also there is nothing listed anywhere regarding being able to book now on RCCL on their website. Nor are they even listing the ship yet. Now the big question is: are the prices going to be the same as they were when offered to C&A members or will the prices be going up? I have a friend who now wants to go and I was trying to help her (I already have my reservations). I guess tomorrow we'll see. jelbnl Posted March 15, 2005 Author #13 Share Posted March 15, 2005 Just spoke to RCCL. They advised that booking for FOS does not open until tomorrow Wednesday 3-16-05. So if you have a TA maybe they are allowed to book early, I don't know.I spoke with RCCL yesterday and was able to get quotes for FOS for various 2006 dates (July and November to be exact). I called and asked specifically for FOS and the rep was able to quote me several different categories, and I'm not a C&A member. I'm really interested in NOS for July 2006 and was trying to use FOS pricing as a guideline.
Penguin69 Posted March 15, 2005 #14 Share Posted March 15, 2005 I guess it's like the old saying, it all depends on who you talk to... Thanks Jelbnl, I think I'll just call back until I get someone that can help me. Happy cruising to all
BobMartha Posted March 17, 2005 #15 Share Posted March 17, 2005 So folks - do you think we are looking at April 1 or later for the summer 2006 RC schedules???? Anyone hear anything new lately???????
dshebert Posted March 17, 2005 #16 Share Posted March 17, 2005 I just wish they would hurry up and let us book
MrsPete Posted March 17, 2005 #17 Share Posted March 17, 2005 I've decided that they're not opening up the summer/fall dates because they're hoping to book everyone on Freedom of the Seas (at higher prices) before they open up the "old ships". Why else would they be waiting so long?
snowman2 Posted March 18, 2005 #18 Share Posted March 18, 2005 We were on the Brilliance in Feb and was looking to book a cruise for the Trans Canal or the H Islands but was told they had no idea of the price or sail dates. The also claimed that the information may not be out until late April or sometime in May.
