Shore excursions for elders?

Likewise, Mayan ruins excursions with long bus rides and long walks to the ruins would not be very suitable.

Unfortunately, most other excursions require loading on and off buses which may or may not have accommodations for handicap access. Plus to get to any excursion or even the Tourism Village to walk around/shop requires getting in and out of a moving tender boat. While the crew will assist, it isn't easy for many folks with limited mobility.

However, if this isn't an issue, I recommend doing the City Tour that stops at Cucumber Beach ( the local's beach) to at least give you a sense of the area. The tour should stop at St John's the oldest Anglican church in Central America and the Cultural Center across the street where many exhibits and artifacts of British colonialism are on display.
