First Timer!!

hi all!

This july i am taking my first ever cruise with my best pal! We are both 27 and single and lookin forward to 7 days on the Carnival Triumph Western Carib. I am very excited and just have a few questions:

1) Has anyone taken this cruise?
2) What is a MUST have item to bring?
3) Any money savers? I am thinking of bringing beer and soda on board... can I?
4) Anything to watch out for (bad stuff)??
