Cnd_Cruiser Posted May 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2011 What is the best way to get from Boston to Cape Libety cruise port. Were from Canada and will be visiting friends in Boston before the cruise. Is it an easy drive (not too big on the idea of driving on NY/NJ), or would the train be easier if so where would you get off the train? 138east Posted May 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2011 Where exactly will you be in the Boston area? What date do you sail? How many days is your cruise? The train is an option, but you have to take a cab from Newark Penn Station for about $40-50 each way in addition to the train fare. Driving is fine, but you have to pay $19/day to park. There may be bus service from Braintree directly to the port for $100/pp for your sail date. I've priced this out numerous times. In Feb. I did a park/sleep at Fairfield Inn and paid for transportation to the port for a lot less than the parking would have cost, but I was on a 12 day cruise.
