Is it possible to do this?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

We are planning our BRB cruise for summer 2012 vacation. We are flying from West Coast to FLL/MIA. Our first cruise will leave out of Miami on the Valor and our second leg of the cruise will be on the Freedom out of FLL. Is it possible to check out after the 1st cruise from MIA and take a taxi to FLL? Will we have enough time? Will Carnival transfer us?

Thanks,

Tibbie

Sure it's very doable. Carnival will treat it like 2 different cruises but you can purchase a transfer from Miami to the FLL airport then book the Carnival transfer from the FLL airport to the pier.

Or a cheaper and more convenient method would be to book your transfer from the pier in Miami to the pier in FLL through SAS shuttles. You can do that online.

A taxi is another option but it's going to cost you twice as much as the Carnival tranfers and three times as much as using SAS.

You should have plenty of time. If you get off the first cruise at about 10am you could be at the FLL cruiseport easily by noon after picking up your luggage and clearing customs.

I can't say for certain but I doubt CCL has a transfer from 1 cruiseport in MIA to a cruiseport in FLL.

Taxi would be about $75 or try calling Steve at http://www.ridesas.com and see if he could take care of you.
