tropiclvrs Posted May 5, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2011 We're thinking of going to Mr. Sancho's in Cozumel via taxi and I was wondering if the Cozumel taxi's have seat belts in which we can use for booster seats. Anyone been there recently that can recall if most of the taxi's had them?
GeoBell Posted May 8, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2011 We were there this last summer. The taxi we took (van) had car seats available. (we called ahead though) They were 3 pt. harness rather than 5... Mexico does have car seat laws, so they probably have seat belts in regular taxis. I hope someone can answer that knows for sure. jules1121 Posted May 8, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2011 We took a couple different taxis in Cozumel and one had regular seat belts and the other (an older van) had the older style seatbelts that are near impossible to get a car seat tight with. mcfam5 Posted May 8, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2011 We have been to Cozumel several times and seatbelts in the taxis are hit or miss in ease of use with seat belts. On a side note, we LOVE Mr. Sancho's. If you have never been, you will really enjoy yourself! :)
6rugrats Posted May 8, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 8, 2011 If a cab doesn't have seatbelts, choose one that does. They shouldn't be hard to find.
