asb2164 Posted May 8, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2011 If a family member worked at the port loading bags and hurt his back lifting a overloaded bag how would that make you feel?
bobsfamily Posted May 8, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2011 Directly from Carnival website: Guests are encouraged to limit their checked luggage to two suitcases per person, with each suitcase not to weigh more than 50 pounds and not exceed 16"H x 24"W (no length restrictions). http://www.carnival.com/cms/faq/default.aspx?icid=CC_Footer_88#q-148 Hope this helps. With 6 people you could check more than 3 bags and add another bag for some of the weight, Bob

If your flying over 50 lbs - you will be paying about an extra $90 - $100 for the extra few pounds. Or you'll be standing at the counter throwing things in your carry on to make the wieght. Keep in mind too - are you going to bring things home from your trip? If your over you may want to think about another bag. Put your over flow in it and you'll have room (and weight) to bring things home. Plus you will just be paying the regular fee and not the extra 90 - 100.
