My RCCL Wedding Review May 4,2011

Recommended Posts

This review will be short and sweet since I'm getting ready for work. The WE met my expectation and provided almost everything I expected except the size of the cake. Although it wasn't discussed, I assumed from everyone elses picture it would be a 3 tier cake but it was only a round cake! I provided 1 CD with a list of songs and the order for the light and sound guy to play them in. He did an awesome job!

Things I would have change are few...the wedding favors guest didn't seem to care to much about them, I ordered 50 and had 20 left(cruise ship luggage tags). Things everyone loved were the lanyards(ordered for 19 cent a piece), magnets(vistaprint), I ordered tshirts and bags from vistaprint to be given away to special guest(my daughter delivered them to their room),our wedding day pens included our name and wedding date on them. I made a guestbook with the gift card given to me when I first visited DB and everyone got a kick out of our baby pictures although my Husband didn't find it funny, LOL. The guestbook included pictures of us growing up as kids and of our KIDS and different vacations we went on. I would highly recommend personalizing your guestbook! The food and music was great. P

Please feel free to ask any questions as I found this site to be very helpful to me! Good luck future brides and no need to stress your wedding will be beautiful! I will upload pictures later on today!

Congratulations Denise!!

You looks GREAT!

I also loved your girl's dress color and your flowers.

What RCCL ship were you married on?

Where did you order landyards for only 19 cents each?

Thank you Lipz. I got married on the Monarch of the Seas, the ship itself wasn't to my standards but I had a blast! One of the previous brides provided me with the website to order the lanyards, I have to look at my past post to try and locate the website for you. After the wedding, guest used them for to keep up with their cabin key.

OMG I'm surprise that dress is no longer available especially since it was one of their newest ones when I bought it!

Thanks everyone and Lipz you can find the lanyards on www.specialistid.com.

Thanks!

We actually found something on there I'm about to order.

I love the fact that there is no minimum required as we only

have 14 cruising with us and sometimes minimums are like 50!

Oh my...you looked BREATHTAKING! I love your dress and think you did an awesome job with your colors/flowers.

Don’t you love it when your coordinator doesn’t tell you the little things like cake size? I have made a list of everything I would question if I were planning a wedding in my home town and have made sure to ask the coordinator, through email so it’s in writing, everything. I swear it’s the only way I will be prepared. Lol.

I love your dress!!! And your photos! The flowers and colors were super tropical! :) Did you get your own aisle runner or was that RCCL?

Congrats!

Thank you. I purchased the isle runner from Michaels, the original price was $29.99 and I had a 40% off coupon so it was a steal.

I know I blame myself for that but I mainly wanted a bigger cake for pictures because once again the guest didn't eat it, we had over half left. One thing that the guest loved were the open bar, LOL!

Forgot to add the photographer tried to hit us up for $1200 for 10 8x10 and 30 5x7 and a CD with 40 prints on it but we turned him down flat! I told him we had a budget of $800 and I wanted the prints with ALL the pictures. The wedding was on Wednesday, May 4th we met up the next day at 2 pm to proof the pictures only a few were printed maybe 15 8x10 and the rest were on the computer and we viewed them like that making our selections. I tried to negogiate with him then but he was holding his ground so we left and told him since we couldn't make individual purchases of the pictures WE wanted that we didn't want anything. He said that he had a prior engagement and had to be there at 5pm(yeah it seemed like forever) trying to bargin with him long story short 11:30 pm that same night we left with 19 8x10, 30 5x7 prints and all of the pictures(over 400 pics on 4 different CD's) for only $750! So I said this to say don't buy on your first day wait towards the end of your trip and they will lower the price for you :D
