What about excursions when it's thunderstorms in the Bahamas?

Just checked the weather for next week and it is predicted for thunderstorms for both Nassau and Freeport when we will be there. We are booked on the sea lion and dolphin encounters. What do they do when it's thunderstorms? Do they operate? Is it safe?
