EJNutz Posted May 17, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2011 Out of interest which cruise line caters for the UK market best? It doesn't necessarily have to be your favourite cruise line.
Greghouseo Posted May 17, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2011 IMO as a TA Depending on certain demographics Thomson P & O Cunard but for my own personal preference RCI/Celebrity/Princess
lancashire_cruisers Posted May 17, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 17, 2011 We cruise as a family and have one family member who refuses to fly, so for us it has to be P&O. We've tried other cruiselines but no-one else offers the range of itineraries ex. UK for the family cruise market. Debbie:)
Rare insidecabin Posted May 19, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 19, 2011 A few do it depends which UK sub market. But some only charter the ships so they are not proper cruise lines TUI(not a cruise line). They have the main UK budget market, also they have sucked in Sun cruises(Airtours) and Island(first Choice/RCI) Given the prices they charge for the product they get in more than budget market. I beleive that they(tui, airtours and Island) did more to embrace the cruising to the masses in the UK so pulled in the new market that is delivering the growth the others are benifiting from. P&O and Cunard are up there as a traditional market RCI Independance seems to have the summer school holidays with the £6k inside cabin prices for 4. Fred Olsen Saga etc Cover the aged P&O seem to be discounting much more so I think the brand is getting dilluted. Times are changing
