RONYRIVER Posted May 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2011 We are going on this cruise, but have noticed from another thread that freedom diners are restricted to one restaurant, is this the case on Azura? Also, in the ports of call will they take euros, rather than changing small ammount of local currency? Thank's for your help in advance.
Britchic4 Posted May 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2011 On Azura it isn't really any different doing Freedom Dining except that you can go at the time you want...if there isn't a table ready for you you'll be given a pager. You can visit the other restaurants and the buffet just as those on Club dining can. Indeed Azura has some excellent restaurants for you to try. Regarding currencies you might be better listing your ports of call to get an accurate reply.
suesie Posted May 21, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2011 We did this cruise last July and it is fabulous - you will have a great time. We took local currency for each port as it was easier and avoided any possibility of rip off exchange rates. It's no more costly to do it that way. Hope you really enjoy it. Azura is also a lovely ship
Smarty Pants Posted May 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 26, 2011 Just done the Baltic on the Aurora. Although you can use Euros in the ports its a lot easier to get a bit of each currency. You will lose a bit on the exchange rate when you change them back but I think it's worth it.
