Lair Bear Posted May 22, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 22, 2011 Would love recommendations on good restaurants in Nassau. Have been there before, but any recent great finds would be much appreciated! Cafe Matisse is a great place with wonderful dinners. It is Italian cuisine with a flare. If you go there before seven pm during the week you may not need a reservation, but it may help to call (242-3567012). If it is not too crowded ask to see the album with celebrity pictures. Matisse is behind the pink goverment buildings to the left of the court house. Another old style place (very elegant) is Graycliff (www.graycliff.com), but I don't know how the food is compared with Cafe Matisse.

scubagirrl Posted May 23, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 23, 2011 Thank you both for your suggestions. Do you know of any good place serving Bahamian food or seafood? Iguana's servers bahamian AND seafood, so does Conch Fritters or the bahamian Kitchen. Of course, you can always just go to the Fish Fry.. all the restaurants there serve bahamian and seafood. Just do a search for the Fish Fry.. it's located just outside of town. Easy to get to .
FunFinder Posted May 23, 2011 #6 Share Posted May 23, 2011 I highly recommend the Bahamian Kitchen. I was there last Friday and it was amazing. The best conch fritters and grouper I have ever had. :)
