nanga gaat Posted May 22, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 22, 2011 When the tenders land passengers at South Queensferry does anyone know if P&O provide a shuttle bus service ?
nightster Posted May 23, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 23, 2011 If you are looking for a free shuttle then you will be disappointed. P&O probably do a tour called something like "Edinburgh on your own". However local coach companies do provide a paid shuttle service, not sure of the cost though, they will be parked by the jetty, there may be a Q. Network Railway station Dalmeny is right at the end of the Forth Bridge, it's a bit of a steep walk up :-). Cost is only £4.10 at offpeak time. HOHO busses can be picked up right outside the station in Edinburgh. Trains about every 1/2 hr.
nanga gaat Posted May 23, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted May 23, 2011 Knowing the distance involved from a long time ago I did not expect a free shuttle into Edinburgh, I was more concerned about climbing the hill to Dalmeny station(thanks for reminding of the name) The private coaches sound good I will look out for them A great pity Arcadia cannot squeeze into Leith maybe we should have booked this type of cruise on Adonia.
