Imagination to Bahamas Questions

Recommended Posts

Hey all!

Does anyone have the fun times for the Imagination sailing to the Bahamas? Also does anyone remember if they have an elegant night and when it took place? Has anyone done the Chef's Table on the Imagination and how was it? And lastly, excursions... what were good ones and what wasn't worth it??

Gracias! :D

I'm starting to realize that even with searching the boards, the Imagination is not a popular ship. haha

No no it's a very popular ship! Just, with 3/4 night cruises people tend to not write reviews, etc as much. You'll have a blast. We're on the Imagination this fall, but the other side of itin to Coz and KW, so can't help you with your questions.

Ohhhh that explains why there isn't much! lol Thanks though!! :)

We noticed the same thing so we are going to do a detailed review of our cruise next week, but it won't help you much because we are doing the 4 day western itinerary.

I plan on doing the same! I want to check out the Chef's Table though. I've heard pretty good reviews across the board on Carnival.

Check out the review section on Cruise Critic for Imagination, you should find that helpful and will answer allot of your questions.:)

I have read it. :) I've been on other Carnival ships but was curious to know how the Chef's Table was and how the shows were though. But either way I will be writing a huge detailed review upon my return!

38 days!

I did the Imagination in November but on the Western Itinerary. I'm doing the 3 day Bahamas in October with some friends to celebrate my birthday. If you are going before then, please post a review. We are planning a beach day at the Hilton to relax and then the Atlantis Casino at night.

I did the 3 day Bahamas cruise on the Imagination last year and had a blast. I don't know about the Chef's Table but I can tell you they did have an elegant night. It was Saturday night (the one night we were in port). The MDR wasn't very crowded at all since most people were on shore eating/drinking at Senor Frogs and other bars/restaurants. The shows were your standard cruise shows. Not extremely exciting but okay. The evening activity my friend and I enjoyed most was Karaoke.

For a shore excursion we did the catamaran sail and snorkel. We looked at the Carnival excursion as well as independent tours and the price was the same so we did the Carnival excursion. We had a great time. I would do that excursion again. Have a fun trip!

We took this cruise. Loved it. There is an elegant night. Go to http://www.bahamasbluelagoon.com/ and make a reservation to swim with the dolphins. When we went in October we did not make reservations, but we found them in port. We had an awesome time. I did not especially like the island but the excursion was a blast. Ship was the best of the ships we have been on. We had the mini balcony and it was fantastic.

I've heard their casino is amazing!!! We wanted to spend the day going around Nassau and then the casino at night too. I will let you know how it is. :)

I saw that excursion! It looks like a relaxating but fun one! Thanks for the info. I've already been to the Bahamas and Senor Frogs but the rest of my group are cruise newbies so while the rest of my fam goes to Atlantis for the day, I'm going with them & my fiancee (well hubby by then) to Nassau.

Thanks for the info!

That's awesome! I'm excited. I'm definitely checking them out today. We'll probably skip elegant night then since everyone wants to head over to Atlantis at night for the casino and food.

Actually I did Nassau last year on the Sensation and we did the Atlantis Waterpark as our excursion. We did make a stop into the casino and it was beautiful. Thats why we are going back this time, so I can show my friends. Lots of shops and the hotel itself is worth seeing. I'd love for you to tell me about the Imagination itself and what you decide to do during the day. We are still looking at other options instead of a beach day if something else sounds like fun. enjoy!

One of our group wanted to swim with the Dolphins but she is the only one of the group. So you did this excursion directly with Blue Lagoon right off the boat? Were they able to bring you to Blue Lagoon from the pier? How much was it? The rest of our group were going to do the day trip there so she wouldn't be alone but weren't going to make the 10:30am boat so figured it wouldn't be worth it to wait for the next boat. If we could catch the boat at the pier, we may be able to do it after all. How was your weather in October? We are going October 15-16 and I heard its their rainy season. Has me a little worried.

After seeing the catamaran sail & snorkel we may do that as a start since it's only a 2.5 hour excursion. I've been to Atlantis before with my fam and they are all going back but my friends and fiancee who haven't ever been to the Bahamas want to check out the island rather than go to Atlantis. So we want to do Atlantis at night.

We took a cab (maybe four bucks) to where the little office was. It is half way to Atlantis. We did not like Atlantis at all. We love vegas and go there often so Atlantis was just over priced and a cash cow. From the pier area where we paid for the excursion, a nice boat took us to the island. All was included and the prices vary based on what you want to do on the island. It was safe and well run. the weather was super nice. No rain. Rained in Miami on 1st afternoon.

That's awesome! I'm in Pines off 75 & Pines now but I lived in Kendall for 28 years. :)

I love group cruises it's so much more fun with a group of people! I just finished making door signs for my group and little hangers! LOL It's going to be a good part of a hallway decorated!!! Haha
