New French Polynesia Tax !!!!!

My travel agent has just been advised by fax from Princess that a new visitor tax has been introduced to French Polynesia - from 27 April.

So folks, we can all look forward to having US$49 per person being added to our shipboard account!

It seems a bit steep to me, everything in FP is expensive enough - but revenue is revenue I suppose.

Sorry to have to be the one to break the news

Cheers, Robyn,
I think the tax starts with Voyage T414 (just from my failing memory). Our USD has really dropped against your AUD since I was there last year. $30 USD was only $41 AUD in December (I still have my Oanda Cheat Sheet in my purse because I have a lot of AUD left - just to insure my return to your lovely country). Pax are going to be mad, but what can we do? I won't find out about my air confirmation until July. The time is going fast. K & D fly home today. I need to write to them. You are only about a month out. I'm getting excited for you. Love, Di
