Yes is easy, outside of the Cristobal port, the please is plentty of local taxi looking for cruiser passengers. The round trip price from Cristobal to Gatun locks going between $30 - $50 and all depends of you negociator skill.

Full day from Gatun Yatch Club: if you have not booked a shore tour with the cruiser line or local tour operator, you can not get off the ship.

Scott... We will be on the Royal Princess docking in Cristobal Mon. March 28th, from 8a to 5P. We have been through the Canal twice already, so it will be neat to see it the "other way."

Thanks for the taxi info. I am a little confused, I didn't understand what you meant about: "Go to Indian Embera / Rainforest / Gatun Locks / taxi: no available / lt: $50 - $115."

 

We are not much for the tours offered on board ship, so this info will be of great help.
