Beaferd Posted June 1, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2011 We will be sailing June 12th 2011 and was wondering which side of the ship are we docked at in the ports of call for the eastern cruise? Also would like to know if the sun will be setting when we leave these ports? Would love to see the ports at night or at least dusk.
HazyDavy Posted June 1, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2011 Unfortunately, departure times are around 5:00 or so, long before sunset in June.
Beaferd Posted June 1, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted June 1, 2011 Oh well, just means I need to do another cruise earlier in the year. What fun that will be. Always looking for an excuse to do another cruise.

I haven't read your replies yet, but here is what we experienced on our May 1st cruise. We boarded in FLL, our cabin was starboard, the same side we boarded on, we watched baggage, crew, and perishables loaded. We left port at 5pm, long before sunset. We docked in Nassau on the port side (left) We left port by 2pm, so we were at sea when the sunset, which you could see from the back of the ship. In St Thomas we docked on the starboard side, so we could see the pier. Again we left before sunset, could be seen from the aft. In Phillipsburg we again docked on the starboard side so we could see the pier from our room. We left before sunset, but Thursday, Friday, and Saturday we saw beautiful sunsets from the front of the ship deck 14 in front of the solarium. Below is one such sunset.
