Carnival Valor - 02/26/12 -- concerned

I have an OS on hold until Monday morning for the 02/26/12 sailing of the Valor. I've checked the roll call and the last post was some time ago and

the poster said the sailing was cancelled - if Carnival is still takings reservations for it, hope that can't be true. I can't find anything, anywhere about anyone taking this cruise, I know it's still over 8 months away, but other roll calls that are further out are active. Anyone heard

anything about this sailing? I'm a little concerned to go ahead and book

tomorrow.......but was so excited because I was able to get a good price

on the OS. Now I'm not so sure.

 

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The current 6 day, that I'm assuming you are looking at, is still going. A few months ago it was listed as a 7-day cruise. Carnival has just altered the length of the cruise. So folks who booked the 7day cruise had that one cancelled.

I just checked the Travel Agent site and the cruise is up for booking.

 

I wouldn't worry too much based on the Roll-Call because my cruise on the Splendor in July only has a few people on it and that is even rare..

 

I have also found on the cruises that are less than 7 days are not as active as longer cruises.

 

If its the cruise you want & the right price go ahead and book and start planning a for a great cruise.:D

That roll-call probably died out because I'm sure many folks, for one reason or another, couldn't rebook with the new itinerary. Go make a new roll-call!!:cool:

Thanks for the advice, I usually book 8 days, so not as familiar with

6 days, but what you are saying makes sense. Price is good, itinerary

is good, timing is good, I'm going to book it.

That info is right - we were booked on the Valor 2/19/12 for 7 day sailing and they ended up cancelling it on us about 4 days after we booked it in March. Come to find out they changed Valor to 6/8 day sails - you should be fine!

We were booked on the Valor for Feb (had a nice group going too)

then Carnival changed it from a 7 day to a 6 day going to ports we were not interested in - been there way too many times.

 

Carnival LEgend is doing the same itinerary that we had booked on the Valor so we switched ships.
