Bet & Peg Posted June 6, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2011 I think its just called the Port of Amsterdam. We took the Constellation last year for a Baltic Cruise. The Movenpick hotel is right next door - we stayed there one night pre-cruise and woke up to find the ship right outside our window - well almost!! [if you want to locate on a map and are having trouble finding Port of Amsterdam, google Movenpick, Amsterdam (they are in numerous cities) and the port is next door.] The ship actually begin the cruise by going out up (or is it down) the river and through a very interesting set of lock - about 2 hours after sailing. You can search the threads for info and some photos. Unfortunately, upon return its so early in the morning (ship docks about 4:30am) that most people are asleep. So if you're interested, try seeing them on the way out to the North Sea.
