El Canario by the Lagoon

I'm staying at El Canario By The Sea pre and post-cruise. My cruise is May 1st. I'll let you know about it when I get back. Hopefully, someone else will have info before then....I'm hoping it's a decent place. I know it's not the same as By The Lagoon, but my understanding is that it's the same company/owner.

I have stayed at both the El Canario by the Lagoon as well as its sister property, El Canario by the Sea. Rooms are clean and functional and are what you would expect for the price one is paying. (In other words, it is not the Ritz but you're not paying those prices either.) I like their location to activities such as larger properties that may have casinos/entertainment, the beach, and restaurants. Since they use regular keys rather than electronic slide cards for the rooms note that they are more liable for theft. A relative of mine had some items from a personal carry-on removed. Note that if you book online through their website, one gets a small reduction in price.
