Greengirl Posted March 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2005 Has the organization there inproved at all? My husband and I sailed out of there on the Ecstasy last June and it was complete chaos (the cruise was great though!!). No signs anywhere and uninformed personnel were everywhere. I just want to be prepared because we're taking out kids this time. I want to keep the frustration level down as much as possible. Thanks :)
skiorcruise Posted March 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2005 We sailed last September - Didn't think anything was all that bad. We took a motel shuttle to the port, got dropped off near the porters. They took the luggage and said go get in that line over there. Everything was easy to find. The lines were long, but once moving were ok for the three of us (all adults). It would have been a hassle with small children, though.
Mustangs Posted March 18, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2005 We are just home from the Pride last week. We were expecting a long embarkation process after what we had read here on Cruise Critic. Fortunately, we were pleasantly surprised that the lines were moving quickly and everything seemed quite organised. We arrived at Long Beach around 1:20 which is usually peak period. We made it to our room by 2:15. Very painless. Disembarkation was even better, off the Pride by 8:30 and to LAX by 9AM.
