collectingcoke Posted June 13, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2011 Don't think it had an umbrella, but on my last cruise I forever became hooked on a drink because of a suggestion I read on this board before cruising - the BBC - BAILEYS BANANA COLADA! To die for!

weltek Posted June 13, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 13, 2011 I'm usually a beer and wine girl, but will enjoy a few "pinky up" drinks on cruises. 1. Cherry Lime Aid...Bacardi Limon, Absolut Citron, and fresh limes and cherries (I just as for light on the cherries). 2. Martinis! Oh how I love buy one get one martinis! Though I can't really call them martinis. More like mixed drinks served martini style. Some faves: Pear pleasure, Floridian, Lemon Grove, French Kiss Dessert martinis: Espresso, Raspberry Torte, Roxy Treat, Key lime pie Need to remember the name of your fave? I found an old drink menu here: http://schplinky.smugmug.com/gallery/5631177_UJy3K#P-1-

KatWag Posted June 13, 2011 #7 Share Posted June 13, 2011 We were in St Thomas with Jewel and I really enjoyed Painkillers. Rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, coco loco If you are going to Bermuda you can hit our favorites. Rum Swizzles at Swizzle Inn, frog and Onion for pretty much everything, and Hog Penny for Dark and Stormy. Try the martini tastings aboard. Good deal and you get the recipes. SailBabySail Posted June 15, 2011 #14 Share Posted June 15, 2011 For me nothing sets the mood like a Pina Colada and then my other favorites are Tropical Passion, Frozen Strawberry-Banana Daiquiri and a Mudslide. Just a note: I brought back 6 real stem hurricane glasses that you can get with a few of the drinks. I had to stop at 6 or I wouldn't be able to carry them safely home. They are yours to keep as well as the helmet that holds 6 beers. I mention that because a couple of young guys did not know you could keep the helmets. The souvenir glass drinks run $7.95 and the helmet of 6 beers about $30. Just FYI. Bon Voyage and Happy Drinking :)
