Excursion sold out - help

We are booked on an excursion on the 7/8 sailing on Equinox. Its a beach transfer in Mykonos to Kalafatis. My sister who is traveling with us (different cabin) went to book hers and her sons today and website says something like "inventory no longer available online, check when you board ship"

Anyone know if they hold a certain amount for people on board? Any chance she'll be able to join us or should we cancel and find another way to get there together, going seperate is not an option.

Is there a cancellation fee if we cancel our excursion now or on board?

Thanks

If you cancel on board you will get a refund direct to your seapass

account, however getting to a beach yourself should be pretty easy,

but negotiate with the driver and arrange a pick up, also remember

you will be on Greek time.

Here is a link with some info

Set up your own transportation. With that amount of people you will save money. But like said get it done here in WRITING.

There will be oepnings or cancelations onboard, so you could try to wait till they open the excursion desk and sign up asap on the ship. If none, just get a refun on yours. Usually available to do with in 36 or 24 hours pre ex.

The Greeek islands have a limited amount of cabs, vans etc especially if moire than one ship is in port and/ore if travling in peak season...which you are in.

I wouldn't fret this...We found Mykonos extremely easy to get around. If your sister is unable to get on the same excursion, just cancel yours, walk into town and grab a taxi. At the taxi stand we discovered others looking for riders to certain beaches, but since we were a party of 4, we got our own. You can either arrange a time for the same driver to return and pick you up...or just have the staff and the beach bar/cafe call you a taxi when you are ready to return(cheaper).

Just close your eyes while riding in the taxi !! There were no rules on the roads !!

For trips like this, sometimes it's just a matter of waiting for Celebrity to arrange an additional bus to accomodate the amount of passengers who want to use the service. Keep checking back every few days and you may find it available again.
