DarthGrady Posted June 13, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2011 Just in case there are any others out there who, like me, are nerdy enough to look for cruise ships on Google Earth :D: I found Allure of the Seas tied up at Port Everglades. They finally updated the image and its very neat to have the top-down view of it. It was dated 3/27/11 (which was a Sunday) so I can only assume it is Allure. There is also a Carnival ship in port, as well as two X ships, a Princess and (what I think is) a HAL. Must have been a BUSY day in 'Laudy. bluemarble Posted June 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2011 Yes, that's a nice update to Port Everglades on Google Earth. Here is an earlier thread on this subject where there was some discussion as to which ship is which: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1421453 Regards, John. DarthGrady Posted June 14, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted June 14, 2011 Here is the photo. The size difference between Allure and the Celebrity ship is really amazing.
Eng23 Posted June 14, 2011 #5 Share Posted June 14, 2011 Here is the photo. Hmmmmmmm? I dunno, looks like it could be the Oasis.? There's always got to be a smart aleck in the room right? :D
tahqa Posted June 14, 2011 #6 Share Posted June 14, 2011 Hmmmmmmm? I dunno, looks like it could be the Oasis.? There's always got to be a smart aleck in the room right? :D The roof of the Boardwalk Bar on Allure is a different color than the Boardwalk Bar on Oasis (blue vs red). If you zoom in (in google earth) you'll see it's a blue roof. :D
MoJo LoGo Posted August 28, 2012 #7 Share Posted August 28, 2012 That is Actually Oasis of the Seas. There are a few distinct signs. Oasis and Allure have very tiny different things and that is oasis. Allure is docked in St. Martin but the ship is docked in the water not at a port.
