BIG_Steve Posted June 15, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 15, 2011 Nassau. Just walk off the ship and on up to the straw market or bay str. Some shopping in Freeport, but you need to take a cab to our Lucaya. No where near as much shopping.
Bonnie J. Posted June 16, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2011 Yes, Nassau! In Freeport there are very few shops at the port and you must take a cab into town. In Nassau you must walk through small shops to get to the street. On the street there are many different types of stores, not just shops. There is also a free bus to take you off the pier if you don't want to walk it!
STARFISH*4 Posted June 16, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 16, 2011 if the new STRAW MARKET isnt open yet....skip it...just filled with junky knock-off purses can get very closed in and crowded down some of the aisles--if you have to 'experience' walk down the big open middle one--same stuff all around and if you have little time there are better places. cruiseapril Posted June 17, 2011 #5 Share Posted June 17, 2011 Bay St. in Nassau offers much. The Straw Market is too crowded.
