suebee53 Posted June 18, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2011 I'm really glad to hear that! Our cruise is in just over a week and there were no HA cabins left. I'm guessing Royal Caribbean doesn't make this type of phone call . . .
coasterwiggs Posted June 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2011 I can tell you most cruise lines don't question me when I book a HC room. As a disabled person it is disheartening to me that the cruise lines just let anyone book these rooms. Disney is the only line that required a medical form from my doctor when I booked. I have been on 4 other lines and none of them required this. I wish all the lines would make an effort to verify that the person booking the HC cabin has a legitimate reason for doing so. Unfoirtunately if they all required you to submit Medical Proof, many people would then complain about the Cost & Effort it took. They would also whine they were being denied service because of this effort & cost. While I agree with you about I wish there was a way to keep Non-HC from booking these cabins when people with real needs have to have them & prevents them sometimes from going. There is no Easy Solution. The only thing I can believe is that those that LIE about their need & think they are so slick because of it will get what is coming to them one day. KARMA is a B****. Not to mention that the cruise lines would probably be violating the HIPAA Privacy Act.
