ejeffo Posted June 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2011 I was wondering if they ever open the water slide on the Spirit going to Alaska... I am hoping it will be open at least on the first day in Seattle and/or the sea day... anyone know for sure? The weather forecast says it will be 75 and sunny... My son and I really want to give it a go.

Bunkie103 Posted June 21, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 21, 2011 We were the first trip in May and no one was interested. There were some people in the pool....brrrr.
DarthGrady Posted June 21, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2011 I don't recall it ever being open at all during our Alaskan cruise, but we went in May. The pools were open, and the one that is covered was actually warmer than some of the hot tubs.
Koval Posted June 21, 2011 #5 Share Posted June 21, 2011 Last Sept. Last sailing to Alaska the slide was open at least while we were in Glacier Bay But we were all in heavy coats hats and gloves. We did climb up there to get some great shots of the Glacier though A couple years before on the Spirit coming back from Mexico it was not open because it was to windy so I believe Safety is why the slides are either open or closed.
