The schedule for SWA flying to Miami from St Louis doesn't work well for my plans but I just did book a flight for next January for only $280 total, round trip. When I flew that this past January it was around $550.

There are some great deals out there. Air Tran has jumped on board also as well as AA. Not sure if AA's are as good as the other two but did see some interesting fares.
