mariemorgan Posted June 23, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2011 I am apart of another message board and someone asked for Passport advice. Someone on there said that they just got off a Carnival cruise in Miami and they required a passport. It was the only identification that was asked for (not birth certificate, etc). They said they saw passports (only) being asked for to 100+ people at both embarksion and debarktion. So anyone in Miami lately, what's going on? mariemorgan Posted June 23, 2011 Author #2 Share Posted June 23, 2011 No I'm being serious.. I want to prove this guy wrong.. Just wanted someone that's been through Miami lately to give me any kind of scoop at what this person could have saw.
arush5268d Posted June 23, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 23, 2011 Why do you feel the need to prove him wrong? He's wrong, obviously, and will realise it soon enough.
mariemorgan Posted June 23, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted June 23, 2011 Because He keeps telling the person who is asking for Passport advice that it's required by carnival. And the when people say it's not he keeps saying that Carnival required it for his cruise so we are wrong. I don't like people giving out wrong information. Shelli Posted June 23, 2011 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2011 Maybe the folks who had to produce passports were not US citizens.
mariemorgan Posted June 23, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted June 23, 2011 Hmm.. didn't think of that! Thanks
Havingfun2010 Posted June 23, 2011 #7 Share Posted June 23, 2011 First of all, Carnival does not require a passport or proof of citizenship, customs and homeland security requires it. Secondly, they ask to see your passport, because that is most common, however, if you say you don't have one, and produce your birth certificate, than that is fine. No need to prove anything.
