LB Cruiser Posted June 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2011 Greetings Princess cruisers, I am thinking about taking my first Princess cruise to Mexico in the fall and I have a question about the balconies on the ship. Do any of the balcony staterooms on the Sapphire Princess have a covered balcony?
BLS Posted June 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2011 Greetings Princess cruisers, I am thinking about taking my first Princess cruise to Mexico in the fall and I have a question about the balconies on the ship. Do any of the balcony staterooms on the Sapphire Princess have a covered balcony? Only Dolphin deck balconies are 100% uncovered, Caribe is 1/2 covered (they are also the biggest). The rest have cover. Whatever you choose, enjoy your sailing!
bjonthego Posted June 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2011 We had an Emerald deck Mini suite on the Sapphire, and loved it! The last 5 or 6 minis towards the aft are covered on this deck. If you do not mind a little walking, you will love one of these....lower foot traffic , so feel more private....we did use our balcony more because it was covered
Princess Patches Posted June 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 26, 2011 Yes, most balconies are covered as follows. Standard Balcony Cabins: Aloha and Baja Decks: covered Caribe Deck: half covered/half uncovered (but twice as large as Aloha and Baja balconies) Mini Suites: Dolphin Deck: totally uncovered Emerald Deck: totally covered

Princess Patches Posted June 26, 2011 #6 Share Posted June 26, 2011 And the Lido deck balconies are also covered on the Sapphire Princess... Yes, right. I always forget about the Lido deck. The reason being is that it is right under the fitness center and I would avoid booking one of these cabins due to potential noise issues (treadmills). By the way, my recommendation could be Caribe deck (larger balcony) for a standard balcony cabin and Emerald deck (covered balcony) for a mini suite. Enjoy your cruise! KruzPrincess Posted June 27, 2011 #8 Share Posted June 27, 2011 The aft cabins are covered. The Baja aft balcony rails jut out a bit, but all the balconies are covered. I just booked an Aloha aft balcony this week, so I've spent a lot of time researching it. Here's a link ot a picture someone kindly posted for me on another thread:
