trekkerman Posted June 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2011 We are new cruisers, and are booked on the Amadolce Paris to Amsterdam in July 2012. What can we expect in terms of flying insects (flies, mosquitoes, etc.)?
Granny DI Posted June 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 29, 2011 All of the above but nothing out of the ordinary.
4774Papa Posted June 29, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 29, 2011 I lived in Germany for four years and traveled a lot in Europe. I don't ever remember having an insect problem like we have in South Georgia. In fact, our apartment in Germany did not have screens, since you didn't need them. cole Posted June 30, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2011 We are new cruisers, and are booked on the Amadolce Paris to Amsterdam in July 2012. What can we expect in terms of flying insects (flies, mosquitoes, etc.)? We were on the Arles to Chalon river cruise a couple of weeks ago and were warned to not leave our balcony doors open because of mosquitos and the final day I wore a bright yellow shirt and little black knats nearly ate me alive. Another passenger with lime green on had the same problem. So I would suggest stay away from those two colors! Other than that - no problems. B.
