Set prices or worth it to look around?

I'm considering booking my first river cruise through Uniworld (Parisian Winter Holiday). Do river cruise lines generally set prices and therefore you won't find any difference price wise among different travel agents or is it like most ocean cruises in that prices will vary?

I always look for lowest price at cruiseline,,check 3or more online agencies..even have asked cruiseline if they d give me same deal as online ones,,1 time they did(Avalon) others no...also check for obc offered...then before final payment,,check cruise site again,,if price lower than you were quoted,,with either place,,ask you get same deal,,,happened many times,and always got it....saved $3000 on ocean voyage 2 mos ago by doing this...so need to do lots of research to get best price...;)

My "normal TA" who I use for cruises discounted my AMA cruise.

If you are a AAA member, Uniworld gives a discount when booking with AAA Travel.

I got 16% discount on Avalon plus a little extra with a TA.

Senior citizen discount,past passenger discount,early booking one,,,also,,can often do own air with points,,or on own for less,,another discount...sad,,no past passenger referral discount to new customers,,like some ocean cruises...;)
