The captains usually rotate 10 weeks on/10 weeks off, although they can make arrangements between each other as long as they are not on longer than 14 weeks or less than 8 weeks. **Note** the info is only as accurate as people post who their master was. It may be off by weeks, even months

Capt. Claus is going back to Navigator. He leaves RD on August 17. I don't know his sign on date but he signs off NV on Dec. 15. I'd cut it down the middle from the other captains' start date and Dec. 15 and figure that's about the sign on date.

 

I will take a guess at Oct 14 as a return date. Capt. Claus hasn't had a whole lot of home time lately so I'd guess they'd give him at least 2 months home and then 2 months back on a ship. Just a guess.

I'm really sorry he won't be on the Radiance for our crossing to Sydney. We have been on board with him several times and have sat with him at dinner. I was really looking forward to seeing him again.

 

I understand that Capt. Wright is a great Capt also, so hope to get the chance to meet him in Sept. :)

On the Navigator sailing 22nd July the captain was Thordur Thorsson

 

 

I wonder if Capt Thordur was promoted, he was Staff Captain on Monarch then on Navigator. It could be temporary, while waiting for Capt Claus to get there

What has happened to Thore Thorolvsen? I know that he is on holiday and finished his turn on the Oasis, but do you have any clue as to what his next ship might be.......will he head off to oversee on of the Sunshine Class ships being constructed?

Not Wolf, but last week on the Oasis we were told he was transferred to Freedom. Not sure how happy he will be about that, imho.....

He will be delighted! Unfortunately, the paper load for the captains of the Oasis class is very heavy, and he was looking forward to transferring to a smaller class ship. The Freedom, although large, I believe he will enjoy much better than the Oasis.:)

Does anyone know if Tommy is still the captain on Allure right now? I am trying to find out if I can accurately see if Captain Johnny will be on my 10/7/12 sailing of Allure...

 

The Allure seems to be on an 11 week captain cycle, and Capt Johnny is supposed to be on likely starting with my cruise, 8/19. If true, 77 days later would be Nov 4, so even with a week or two leeway he should be there for your cruise.
