According to Capt Frank Martinsen he IS currently on board and will be until Dec 13th when he then moves to the Navigator. I would think the source is pretty accurate as I would hope that the man himself should know what ship he is currently on.:p He started on the Liberty on Oct 21st in France.

 

Now I wonder where Capt Erik Standahl is going...to another ship or did he also quit RCI

Can confirm that Capt Frank Martinsen was aboard for the entire Liberty TA. No information was available on Capt Bang's status.

He was also on for the Nov. 10 5 day cruise.

I would think Capt. Claus is sticking around until Dec 15 as was planned - turn around day. That was the date according to him. Of course things change quickly.

I think what Capt Frank meant was he leaves on the 13th and has 2 traveling days to get to Navigator to relieve Capt Clause. So both dates would be right. Liberty's rotation ends on the 13th while Navigator's rotation starts on the 15th.

So, how did you like your cruise to the Land of OZ!? I hope you had nice weather like we did last year.

It was great--except for the "getting there" part! I think everyone was a bit fooled by the weather; it wasn't the best. Very hot in Perth and the flies were terrible. The rest of the time it was drizzly, cloudy, coolish with occasional brief spells of sunshine:rolleyes:. Of course it could have been a LOT worse!

Ya gotta love those black flies. How about the Lady Bugs. We had thousands all over the ship when we were in Perth.

Only saw a few lady bugs but the flies were so bad you couldn't open your mouth or talk while walking! :eek:

Capt Per left in the middle of the Oct 9th sailing of the Mariner. I don't believe that he went back for the Oct 20th sailing so their rotation may be off a bit. He was supposed to be back but things got delayed. Young guy covered him but his name has slipped my mind at the moment. Old age catching up to me.:p I'll check to see when Capt Flemming started his rotation. I know a couple of officers that had sign off during the crossing before the long sea days on Nov 8th.

I was figuring 11-24 as a rotation date. So you'll have Capt Gus if Capt Anders did a 10 week rotation and if I have his start date right.
